Toffees appoint Moyes as new manager on contract until 2027

Everton Football Club announces the appointment of David Moyes as the new manager but the old face, a 2-and-a-half-year contract until June 2027.

The 61-year-old coach previously managed the Toffees for a long time between 2002 and 2013.

“It’s great to be back! I’ve really enjoyed the 11 years together at Everton,” he told the club’s official website. 

“When this offer came, I had no hesitation in taking the opportunity to come back and join this great club.”

“I am excited to be working with the owners, Friedkin Group, and I look forward to working with them to build the new club,” 

“We now need to rely on Goodison Park and the Evertonians to play their part in supporting the players in such an important season.”

Moyes will take charge of the team for the official match on Wednesday, January 15 , at home to Aston Villa .
