Chilwell could be dumped by Chelsea because he’s not an inverted type of player

Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell could be out of action at Stamford Bridge if Enzo Maresca is given more than a season at the club. With the England international’s wide-sided style of play falling short of the new manager’s inverted full-back options.

Standard Sport reports that the 27-year-old defender can reach his full potential when playing โปรโมชั่น ufabet on the wing and then providing a cross to the centre-back.

But Maresca’s style of play is quite old-fashion, requiring the full-back to drop in to help with passing. Maintaining possession and maintaining possession, so it is not the same as a skilled player like Chilwell.

The 2024 pre-season tour results, the defensive game has been sloppy. Allowing a total of 6 goals in the past two games, causing the Italian coach to say. That Ben may not be the first choice on the left wing in his era. Who wants a versatile, ball-holding player.

“Of course, ‘Chili’ is a left-back. I always see him as a left-back,” he said ahead of the friendly against Club America (July 31).

“His situation is a bit delicate, in that we are trying to find a solution for him in positioning. Maybe it takes some time – some nuance to find the right position for him.”

“We need players who can perform 100% and certainly in the last two or three weeks. Malo Gusto and Reese James on the right, they have been able to train as require.”

“Both of them are more dangerous, more assists, in a way that is use more now than in the past. Because in the new position they are good enough to pass into the final third. With their quality, they are very good.”

Other left-back options for Chelsea, aside from Chilwell, include Marc Cucurella. Who was a star player for Spain’s Euro 2024 winning team, homegrown talent Levi Colwill, or the young Renato Weiga.
